How to Use a Paddleboard Cart

First off, whenever you’re carrying your board make sure that you carry it back on your butt muscle. If you carry it right on your hip you’ll likely get some bruises along your hip bone. However, if you pop it back on to your butt muscle and walk that way, it’s definitely gonna help you avoid some serious hip bruises in the future.

For transporting over long distances we suggest buying a cart. We have a single cart and a double cart available in our store.

In this post, we’ll explain how to use the double cart, but the single is basically the same idea. First you’re going to insert your paddleboards into the slots. As you’re putting it in, you want to make sure more of the back end of the board is sticking out than the front end. This is so that your strap doesn’t get loose as you’re going over bumps.

With your ankle leash, we’re just going to strap that around the center pole, so that it doesn’t drag through the mud, or the sand, or the grass and get all gross. Once you’re done with that, we’re just going to squish the boards together. You always want the deck pad facing in so that the fins are facing out.

For strapping, we’re going to take our buckle and throw that over the top and then we’re gonna thread it underneath the two sides, throw the rest of the strap over and do the same thing on the other side. And then we’re going to take the end of the strap and thread it underneath the buckle, tightening it up nice and tight. And then you’ll be able to push your paddleboards down to the river a lot easier than carrying them.
